Friday 07 October
09:30 AM – 10:30 AM

The American Cancer Society is built on the passion of their people. While their people bring to work a natural enthusiasm for what they do, ACS recognized the need to keep their 6,000+ geographically dispersed employees and over 2.5 million volunteers engaged, informed and dedicated. They set out to redefine a culture of growth that empowers employees and volunteers throughout the organization to pursue their own self-directed path for development and create a vision for career growth within the organization – keeping their people engaged and inspired. ACS has also set their sights on ensuring they attract, nurture and reward top talent to optimize performance and create a pipeline of leaders to keep American Cancer Society’s vision strong as they evolve. See how ACS began their journey towards becoming a Self-Developing Organization, an approach that embraces the notion of making it incredibly simple for every role in the organization to be continuously connected to personalized learning, development and career advancement opportunities so they can be better at their job today while preparing for the next step in their career.
