Abbott Labs has long understood that it must quickly adapt and embrace change to thrive in the competitive, fast-moving healthcare market. In 2013, Abbott’s transformation began when it spun off its proprietary pharma arm and separated into two Fortune 200 companies. With over half of its employees and business outside of the U.S. and 75% of growth occurring in emerging markets, the company realized it needed to rebuild its talent pipeline and bench for succession — and that required visibility into its global workforce to identify gaps and align the right skill sets with roles. Hear the Abbott team’s unique approach to solving these challenges by developing a unified HR, Talent Management and Recruiting system which helped transform the HR function into a strategic advisor to the business. The lessons learned will help you better design, plan and execute your own HR technology transformation.
